I began making in the year 2000. It was a way to satisfy a creative outlet when the punk rock band I was in disbanded. In 2008, I stumbled into a ceramics studio and the joy of pottery making has been with me since. My interest in art making revolves around non-repeating patterns, bright colors, abstract thought, geometry, and maintaining a sense of playfulness and discovery.
Some of you may be wondering where, "taffy4ever" comes from. Taffy was our family dog when I was just a child. She was a mix between an irish setter and a golden retriever. We lived in a rural part of Pennsylvania on an abandoned putt-putt golf course that had a pond. The trailer for concessions and golf clubs was converted into a living space. The living room had a large bay window that looked across the pond and I remember watching thunderstorms roll across our little landscape. We had two ponies and the pond was inhabited by muskrats. In the winter we would ice skate. It was a magical place. Sometimes Taffy would get out and roam the countryside for hours. She was an incredible hunter and a number of times we would find muskrats at our doorstep. I loved that dog.
